I love working with businesses that have a strong connection to their roots, and Summerlea Farm is a perfect example. Located just 30 minutes from Launceston, Summerlea Farm offers an immersive experience for food lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. Run by Liz and Rick, the farm is dedicated to sustainable beef production and conservation efforts, including the restoration of the Second River to protect the endangered Giant Freshwater Crayfish.
When Liz and Rick approached me to create their website, it was clear that they needed something that would not only represent the heart of their farm but also make it easy for visitors to explore their offerings and book a tour. We decided to use WordPress as the foundation for the website, along with the BRONTE template, which I developed for clients looking for a clean, user-friendly design.
The key challenge was building out their “experiences” page, where visitors could learn about the different seasonal tours and book directly through their existing booking system, Rezdy. It was essential to make this process as seamless as possible, ensuring that the website acted as a central hub for all farm activities, while also showcasing the beauty of the land and their sustainable practices.
By integrating Rezdy into the WordPress site, I was able to provide a smooth booking experience for Summerlea Farm’s guests. The simple and professional design makes it easy for Liz and Rick to manage the website themselves, which was a priority for them, while also giving potential visitors a real feel for the peaceful, nature-focused experiences they offer.
