The Goal

Tiagarra is one of the oldest Aboriginal operated cultural centres in Australia. Its purpose is to protect, share and celebrate the stories, knowledge and heritage of the palawa people. The team needed a website that reflected this significance while making information easy to access for visitors, schools and the community.

The aim was to create a digital space that supports Tiagarra’s mission. A website that invites learning, respects the past and engages the present.

Our Approach

We focused on clarity, storytelling and accessibility. The structure was designed to guide visitors through Tiagarra’s history, educational programs and cultural significance without overwhelming them. The design uses strong imagery and warm tones to create a sense of connection and respect.

Every decision was made with intention. The site needed to feel welcoming, informative and aligned with Tiagarra’s cultural role. Keeping mobile access in mind, we built it so visitors can find what they need easily, whether they are planning a visit, learning about the centre or exploring ways to support it.

Key Features

1. Clear, Easy Navigation
Visitors can move through Tiagarra’s story, programs and visitor information without confusion. The structure keeps everything simple and intuitive.

2. Visual Storytelling
Powerful photography and a thoughtful design approach help convey the depth and significance of Tiagarra’s heritage.

3. Community Engagement Tools
The site includes space for events, updates and ways for people to support Tiagarra’s ongoing work.

The Result

The new Tiagarra website serves as a respectful digital extension of the cultural centre. It honours the palawa people, shares their stories with care and gives locals and visitors a clear path to connect with programs and events.

It is a living space for culture, learning and connection, and we are grateful to have played a small role in supporting Tiagarra’s mission.
